The official webpage can be found by clicking here.

This race is held in the Bayside precinct of Williamstown, which is a suburb of Melbourne and the start is with in walking distance of the Railway Station. Trains to Williamstown leave from the CBD, but please check that the 1st train is earlier enough to make the marathon Start time.

All three(3) domestic airlines fly into Melbourne, and it is generally better to land at the 'Tullamarine Airport', than 'Avalon' Airport.

Where to stay?

The purpose of your visit to Melbourne will dictate where you will stay. If you are only going to Melbourne for the run, then there is plenty of accommodation at Williamstown, but to enjoy the "Whole Melbourne Experience", I would stay in or close to the CBD. More information is available by clicking here.

The following video will give you an overview of Melbourne.

The Race

This is a race I have never run. The Official Race Webpage(See above), has comprehensive course details as well as a race video.

I have only had good reports about this race, and for those who have had the pleasure of participating in a Sri Chinmoy event, this race should not disappoint you, as they do pay attention to detail.

Details about the Melbourne Weather can be found by clicking here.

Associated Races

As with most Australian Marathons, there are "Associated Races", and this marathon is no exception.

On raceday, you have the option of running either the Marathon, Half Marathon or a 'Quarter Marathon', which is about 10.58km(6.5miles)

In 2008, the Marathon had 68 Finishers
